Camera Installation: what to expect & FAQs
You bought the cameras. Your certified local expert mounts them, wires or powers them, connects them to your Wi-Fi and app, and leaves you with a working system you can check from your phone the same day. Every request is fixed-price upfront and backed by our 100% Happiness Guarantee.
What’s included
- Camera placement chosen with you, then secure, weather-rated mounting on wood, drywall, brick or masonry
- Wired models: power routing to an existing outlet or fixture; wire-free models: batteries installed and charge verified
- Wired floodlight cameras: removal of the existing light fixture and wiring into the same electrical box
- App download, account set-up, Wi-Fi pairing, motion-zone configuration and a live-view test on your phone
- Recorded systems (NVR/DVR kits): cable routing, recorder commissioning and final image verification
- Google Home integration for Nest cameras
What’s not included
- The cameras themselves — you supply the equipment; we supply the expert
- New electrical circuits, new outlets or low-voltage wiring where none exists today
- Cloud storage or monitoring subscriptions, which are set up with the camera’s manufacturer
- Mounting hardware beyond what ships in the box — as with every mounting service, you supply the anchors and fixings
What the price is and what moves it
Installation starts at $150 for a single wire-free outdoor camera. From there the price is set by the count and the type of camera, and you see the full number before you book — nothing is quoted later.
- Additional wire-free cameras: $60 each; additional wired floodlight cameras: $45 each
- Multi-camera kits are priced by tier — 1–3, 4–6 (+$150) and 7–10 cameras (+$300)
- Wired indoor or outdoor cameras such as Nest Cam start at $165; a wired floodlight camera starts at $285
- A whole-home multi-camera bundle is a flat $345
- A few states carry a small location adjustment; it appears in your price the moment you choose your location
Brands we install
Blink, Google Nest, Arlo and WD ReadyView kits are the systems most requests are for, but the service is the same for any Wi-Fi security camera you bring home from any retailer. Most camera requests are completed in a single visit; larger recorded systems may be scheduled as a longer appointment — always fixed-price upfront.
